Jim Stalder ’62 Distinguished Achievement Award Event - April 13th

Jim Stalder ‘62

Dear Brothers,

This year during Blue and White Weekend, April 12-14, we have an exciting and one-of-a-kind ceremony being held for a quintessentially resolute man.

Br. James (Jim) Stalder ’62 has been conferred the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Grand Chapter, which recognizes “alumnus members for exceptional professional accomplishments, career achievements, and community or public service.” This is a truly noteworthy achievement, as evidenced by the attendance at our forthcoming ceremony of a Grand Chapter officer.

After graduating with a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State, Br. Stalder worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, eventually becoming Managing Partner of its Pittsburgh office. He spent twenty years as an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration before becoming Dean of the A.J. Palumbo School of Business and John F. Donahue Graduate School of Business at Duquesne University. He is a Life Member of Carnegie Mellon’s Board of Trustees and was on the Board of Directors for our very own Smeal College Alumni Society. Over the years Br. Stalder has also served on innumerable boards for charities, community organizations, arts groups, and countless others. He is a true credit to our chapter, brotherhood, and alma mater.

Please join us for the congratulatory ceremony, which will be held at the chapter house in State College at 7:30 PM on Saturday, April 13. Light refreshments will be available. Please reach out to me directly if you will be attending so that we may gather the appropriate headcount. Additionally, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

For the Good,

Collin Scheible, ‘12
Alumni Board President
