2023 Homecoming Champs!!

Dear Brothers,

We are happy to report that this year Omega chapter, along with our partners Sigma Kappa and the American Society of Civil Engineers, finished in first place in the Homecoming Competition for the second year in a row!

With the win we won a sum of money to donate to our philanthropy of choice, which of course is The USO.

This year our theme contrasted the 1970s movie Grease with Ancient Greece. For our float we built the Grease Lightning driving through Greek pillars. Our banner was titled “Grease vs Greece.” The structure of the float, similar to last year, was made mostly with PVC piping and wood. The tissue paper was then glued together on chicken wire inside, and laid over the PVC skeleton. It took 5 days and a lot of hard work from the brotherhood and our partners to put the float together, and we are really proud of what we were able to accomplish.

The first place announcement was made during halftime of the Homecoming Football game vs UMass. Our Homecoming chairs, Anthony Ruggeri and Devon Claudino, deserve a shoutout for the hard work they put in along with our partners from Sigma Kappa and ASCE.
