2020 Spring Meeting Minutes

As those on this call exemplify, this brotherhood is a lifelong commitment, and has been the source of many deep and lasting friendships over the last 100 years. That said, each and every one of us will some day join the chapter eternal, and I’d like to take a brief moment to recognize the 32 Omega Chapter brothers who have joined their everlasting ranks in the time since our last corporation meeting. Please join me in a moment of silence in remembrance of those who have gone before us.

Undergraduate Reports: N/A due to suspension of members
State of the Chapter: President’s Report
- House Mortgage
  - Closed on new mortgage with NHC on 4/7/2020
  - Interest only for 1 year
  - NHC provides much more flexibility instead of a traditional lender
- Lease Agreement with Pi Lambda Phi
  - Final Leases distributed to Pi Lambda Phi members for review and signatures.
- Recruitment
  - Put on hold due to COVID-19
  - Daniel and Jorge have helped the new members select executive board members for when they are initiated
  - Recovered undergraduate funding, will be used to support recruitment
State of the Chapter: Financial Report (Burke or Wallace)
- Tiller Report (Income and Expenses)
- Current Cash Reserves ($44k)

Chapter Rumors
- Please address rumors about chapter by reaching out the Alumni Board

Board of Directions will pilot use of video conferencing for future meetings (e.g. Zoom, WebEx)

Jeff Damcott Report
- Field Executives will return in the Fall to assist with recruiting (different brothers)
- Recruiting outlook is good
  - What is the impact of COVID-19? Unknown.
