No Freshmen for Omega
Omega Chapter at Penn State will resume normal operation in September with a full house. No freshmen will come to the campus next fall, though 2725 will be admitted at various undergraduate centers. It will be necessary for fraternities to keep close tab on their membership losses and guard against sharp drops in membership in order to operate efficiently. Vaughn Stapleton, chapter president, was elected all college president in the spring elections. About 20 members at-tended the Philadelphia Assembly in April and brought back two trophies for attendance. Two members were injured in an auto accident that weekend. Wallace Rechenberg was hospitalized for some time and forced to withdraw from college. Lesie Strickler was not seriously hurt and missed only a few days. Service members who got back to college at the beginning of the semester in March are: Howard Bink, Bruce Blanch, Richard Bolopne, Edward Banyai, Robert Harder, Thomas Iezzi, Robert Nein, Leon Piatt, David Raney, Robert Waltenbaugh, and Charles Zink.
