Come on out for the inaugural GI Theta Chi philanthropy effort by Theta Chi Fraternity at Penn State! This exciting event raises funds for the USO, which provides substantial support for active and retired United States military members. More information can be found at www.uso.org.

To raise funds, we will be having a 5-person Tug-of-War competition (teams of less than 5 will be supplemented with Theta Chi brothers or combined with another small team to reach 10 people), a sack race, and a BBQ. For just $20 per team member, you and your team mates can enter the Tug-of-War tournament in attempts to win the title of "Tug-of-War Champions", will receive a T-shirt, free BBQ, and a chance to participate in the sack race and win the coveted title "Quickest in the Sack"! If you just want the BBQ and do not want to compete, it will be $7.

There is a league for guys only, and a separate league for coed teams. If a group of girls is interested but does not have any guys on their team, we will supplement your team with Theta Chi brothers. The sack race is an individual event, and there will be separate brackets for guys and girls. Note that Greek community members will be able to get community service hours for participating.

So you are probably itching to sign up, huh? Simply email Alex Constable to register your team. Payment will be due 1 week prior to the event. The rain date will be Sunday, April 5th, time TBD.
