Support THON 2013

Dear Friends and Alumni,

One of Penn State's best traditions is the yearlong effort of more than 15,000 students to raise funds and awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, affectionately known as THON, will take place at the Bryce Jordan Center from February 15-17, 2013.

Last year, THON raised a record-breaking $10.68 million for children battling cancer and gave 96 percent of all funds raised to The Four Diamonds Fund. The Fund supports a team of pediatric oncologists, enables innovative cancer research through The Four Diamonds Pediatric Cancer Research Institute, and offsets the cost of treatment that insurance does not cover. Additionally, THON has contributed $10 million to the construction of the new Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital at Penn State Hershey Medical Center which will provide world-class care to pediatric cancer patients.

Only with the support and generosity of alumni and friends can THON continue to flourish. Please consider joining the fight by making a gift todayEvery gift helps. For $25, The Four Diamonds Fund can provide one hour of music therapy for a child undergoing treatment; $100 funds one hour of cancer research including salary and supplies; and $300 can help purchase a wig for a child who has lost his or her hair.

This year's theme is Inspire Tomorrow's Miracles. You can continue to inspire Four Diamonds families by showing your dedication to THON. Together, we will make a difference in the life of a child!
