  • The roof is finished & there are no leaks around the drains; a new hatch with lock as been installed to cut back on potential damage by unauthorized visitors

UNDERGRAD TREASURER'S REPORT: Br. Scott Taylor gave the following report:

  • Checks are coming in from Beta Theta & Beta Sigma chapters for the damage done during the 1987 Regional
  • House bill is $50.00 under the university dorm price
HOUSE MANAGER REPORT: Brothers . Dennis Foley & Greg Allan reported the following:
  • project committees formed to get work done
  • pool room water damage has been repaired
  • massive repairs to the hot water pipes in the kitchen were made in the summer & they look ugly
  • A list of future repairs were discussed:
    • clean up the ante-room with shelves and locking cabinet
    • a new toilet is planned for the study room bath
    • new ceiling tiles will be installed in the laundry room & the fire tower should be repainted
    • other points included fixing the plumbing in both the study room and especially in the main baths upstairs. Early estimates were $10 to 15,000 for both baths
OLD BUSINESS: Included talk about the roof being done, it's 15 year warranty and the $16,250 cost. Another point raised was the forthcoming Borough Building Inspector's letter which definitely will include a request to construct internal firewalls (to the dismay of many brothers) in the upstairs hallways

Br. Perkins discussed the "523 Fund" and it's planned method of attack for obtaining even more funds. This included a major letter and a phone-a-thon to take place before the Founder's Day meeting. Many interesting letters have been coming in telling of past glory days.

NEW BUSINESS: Br. Cadzow discussed the upcoming Regional at West Chester, the National Convention to be held in Atlanta, and the past CLC II in Columbus. He also reviewed the Field Rep's report and it's favorable contents.

Br. Wszalek appointed a nomination committee consisting of Brothers Todd Fortier, Gary Hicks and Tom Butch.

General discussion about Stewart Howe and their escalating costs was made. Br. Wszalek felt that we should get rid of them since it is getting too expensive. Br, Perkins warned everyone that we'd better be very organized before dropping them in favor of an alumni run Omegaphone.

Br. Howard Alter suggested that Br. Hicks should be appointed permanent omegaphone editor. It was decided that Br. Hicks shall prepare a report for the Founder's Day meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Huqh D. Cadzow '83
