Thon 2010 is just around the corner and Theta Chi's dancers are Jared Case, Kent Rentschler, Nick Geyer, and Sean Haggerty!
For those who don't know, the Penn State Dance Marathon is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world that benefits the Four Diamonds Fund at Hershey Medical Center. All of the money raised in Thon goes to help the families of children with pediatric cancer.
Last year the students of Penn State raised a record setting $7.49 million (that's seven digits) for the kids.
Every year in February, the Penn State Dance Marathon is a 46 hour celebration of life, love, and the kids. This year Jared, Kent, Nick, and Sean will be be joining the celebration as dancers. This involves staying awake and on their feet in the ultimate show of support of the kids and their families.
While they are all strong and sturdy gentleman, they can't achieve this feat without your help. In the wee hours of the morning, times can get tough. This is where you come in.
Send Jared, Kent, Nick, and Sean dancer mail to cheer them on, tell them a joke, inspire them, tell them they're beautiful, tell them a story, tell them something to keep them on their feet and happy.
There are two ways for you to send our valiant heroes some cheer:
1. Drop off any mail to 324 HUB any time before February 18. Any packages can be dropped off at 327 HUB. On the mail write the dancer name and number:
2. If you can't make it to the HUB, mail your letters to:
