2009 Theta Chi Golf Open
The date has been set for the 2009 Theta Chi Open. As always it be held on the First Friday in May, which this year is Friday, May 1st. First tee time is 12 noon.
Greens fees will be $100 this year. $20 of the fee will be contributed to the Brother Oeschger education fund, a fund set up to benefit the college education of the two young sons of Ken Oeschger who recently passed away. This will be the 28th annual Theta Chi Open and I don’t recall Kenny ever missing an outing. Even a pond at Center Square was named after him, “Lake Oeschger”, as a result of the fondness his ball had in finding the lake. His friendship, competitiveness and enthusiastic love of Theta Chi Brotherhood will be sorely missed.

I’m sure Brother Paul Cunningham will be exploring getting a house again near the beach in Avalon. The post game banquet will be held at that location. More details will follow. For now mark the date down, May 1st, 2009.
