OX: Why did you join Theta Chi?
Paul Faircloth : I joined because there was a great mix of characters at the house, a little bit of everything. I like to think that my own unique bit of 'character' brought something to those I lived with during those crazy years. The double taps downstairs and the tunes at dinner was a bonus.

OX: What is your favorite Theta Chi memory or story?
PF: They're all my favorites; Tahoka Freeway on the LAWN baby! Holding that cup of goo over my head before singing songs at the bar. Rooftop parties. Harrassing the Krappers. Hotell Parties. Arts Fest weekends. Going to see the Who with Evan. Kenn Freebo's "breakup haircut'. the infamous TABLINGS. Ask me about Ken Frebowitz in a tree sometime...
Many more too numerous to tell.

OX: What kind of influence has the fraternity had on your life since graduation?
PF: This place and these people were family to me. I never had a brother
until I found my Brothers. I also learned determination, working towards
a goal and not letting the little things keep me from my goals.

OX: What is your nickname? How did you get it? Did anyone in particular give it to you?
PF: Sorry your honor, but I plead the Fifth at this time on the grounds that it may incriminate me.

OX: Did you live in the house? If so, who were your roommates? Tell us about a memorable time with them.
PF: Evan Rosenberg, Chris Bagshaw, Keith Williams. Evan singing 'Excitable Boy' to his future bride; Chris being dropped off at his apartment after a Rush dinner and not recognizing that he was in front of his apartment; Getting hammered with Chris and Evan then realizing I had to go to a night event for a class that I could NOT miss; Keith "Spilliams' never failing to find the full beer mug with his Godzilla feet.

OX: Where did your pledge class go on their bolt?  What brothers did you take?  Any funny stories you can tell?
PF: Susquehanna University. We cruised town on a snowy day looking for someone to kidnap and buy us beer, and found Hurtin' Herms who was too slow to outrun us. The rest was a blur exceot for a really BAAAD pledge song that we got lashed for...

OX: With whom do you stay in contact? And is there anyone with whom you’ve lost touch that you would like to find?
PF: Rich Panza, Tristan Stancato, Chris Bagshaw, unfortunately all too infrequently.

OX: And is there anyone with whom you’ve lost touch that you would like to find?
PF: Scott Fields...Totie, where are you?

OX: What other activities or organizations were you involved with during your college days?
PF: Keg Softball, Exploring Stone Valley, Football fanatic.

OX: Tell us about your family. Have you married? Do you have children?
PF: My beautiful wife Keri and I have been married 20 years this past spring. We're the proud parents of 3; a 16 yr old, Nick; a 12 yr old, Christopher, and a 9 yr old Hannah. All 3 have luckily gotten their mother's intelligence and good looks. The sense of humor is all me though!

OX: What do you do for a living?
PF: I have worked for the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation for 20 years starting as a Park Ranger and am currently the Park Superintendent at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, DE.

OX: What do you do with your free time?
PF: Music has always been a passion. I finally got the nerve to play ini front of people at church and have been doing that for a few years. I bike when I can, but as many here have already posted, my time is given to the family, sports, band, anything the kids need.

OX: What are your goals for the next few years?
PF: I enjoy my job with the State but I want to stay in the field at this point and stay away from the central office. I want to get these kids through college and then spend my time with my wife as she's deserved all these years.
