OX: Why did you join Theta Chi?
Evan Rosenberg: Paul Bender invited me to the house, and I really enjoyed most of the guys. Full time cook and beer on tap didn't hurt either!

OX: What is your favorite Theta Chi memory or story?
ER: It was a road trip to IUP to drop Bob Bodenschatz off at his girlfriends dorm. I remember Phil Bender and Chris Bagshaw being along, but other than that...

OX: What kind of influence has the fraternity had on your life since graduation?
ER: Pledging taught me mental toughness, teamwork, leadership(you try getting Biernacki to mop the bar!) but most importantly, was the sense of brotherhood and common purpose.

OX: What is your nickname? How did you get it? Did anyone in particular give it to you?
ER: Amazingly, I escaped unscathed. Many tried, but none stuck.

OX: Who was your roommate? Any stories?
ER: Marc Josephson and Paul Faircloth. Marc's snoring was legendary, that's why we only lasted one year.

OX: Where did your pledge class go on their pledge bolt/trip? What brothers did you take? Any funny stories you can tell?
ER: We went to Dickinson - the guys at Dickinson kept asking us when we were leaving.

OX: With whom do you stay in contact? And is there anyone with whom you’ve lost touch that you would like to find?
ER: Marc Josephson, Ron Biernacki, Paul Bender - although much to my chagrin, way too infrequently.

OX: What other activities or organizations were you involved with during your college days?
ER: Interfraternity council.

OX: Tell us about your family. Have you married? Do you have children?
ER: I married little sister Joan Heinsinger and have three children ages 17, 15 and 12. My oldest is planning on attending PSU in the fall. We are all die hard Lion fans.

OX: What do you do for a living?
ER: I work for Chubb insurance and have worldwide responsibility. I was fortunate to visit Paul Bender when he lived in Singapore and bumped into Marc Josephson in Hong Kong. I travel extensively in the US and abroad.

OX: What do you do with your free time?
ER: What free time? I spend a lot of time at kids' sporting events, play a little golf(not well, not often) and I envision myself as an amateur wine connoisseur.

OX: What are your goals for the next few years?
ER: Get my kids through college, retire to a golf community, and see Penn State win a national championship. Not necessarily in that order.

OX: What organizations are you involved with in your community?
ER: Just work and family right now. I do get involved with the PSU career corner for seniors and recent grads.
