Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this finds you well!
I'm writing to ask for your help and support with my candidacy for Alumni Council, the governing board for the Penn State Alumni Association. This important body guides all policy, activities, and strategic development of the largest collegiate alumni society in the entire world and I'm thrilled to have been named as one of the final candidates. I've tried very hard in my years as both an undergraduate and graduate to make a lasting impact our beloved Alma Mater. With your help and support, I'd like to continue my service in this new role.
The two issues I would look to immediately pursue on council would be furthering outreach and development efforts for alumni of Commonwealth Campuses and the continued support of the Penn State Grassroots Network, the Alumni Association's governmental relations arm. While I'll continue to be active in both of these efforts regardless of the election's outcome, I think Alumni Council provides some unique opportunities for involvement and participation.
Ballots have been mailed to all Alumni Association members TODAY, and if you requested one over email it should arrive this afternoon. While I would be most honored and grateful for your vote and support, what I also would like to request is that you forward this message to all of your Penn State friends & family and ask them to vote as well. Be mindful of the deadlines and keep in mind that only members of the Alumni Association can vote.
I also would like to recommend voting for Mike Cocco for Alumni Council and Ted Dwyer for the Board of Trustees. Both of these gentlemen have tremendous records of service at Penn State and continue to make our University better with their involvement. I look forward to working with both of them in some capacity and I hope that you strongly consider giving them your support.
Thank you for everyone's time, help, and thoughtful consideration. I am grateful for your support of me and help with my candidacy. I hope this finds you well and I look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

For the Glory,
